The family of Anthony Wayne “Tony” Reynolds would like to thank everyone involved in the search and recovery efforts after his tragic boating accident at Taylorsville Lake May 29.

We would first like to recognize the members of the Louisville Metro Police Department Dive Team, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Mt. Washington Fire Protection District.

We know this had to be an unbelievably grueling task, as Tony was a personal friend to many of your members. How you all found the strength to persevere when this event touched you personally shows what Tony meant in your lives.

The family also wants to thank the Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Department, Spencer County Sheriff’s Department, the Fern Creek Fire Department, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Shelbyville Fire and Rescue, Kentucky State Police and Emergency Management Services (Search Dogs) from Spencer County and the state for their tireless efforts and assistance.

A special thanks to the Taylorsville Lake Marina and the Meurer family for accommodating the rescue personnel and our family. We would also like to thank all the businesses and friends that made donations of food and drinks for the rescue personnel and family. And finally, a thank you to all the family, friends and even strangers who donated their time and generosity to the family in our time of need.

May God’s love bless you as we have surely been blessed after this horrible tragedy,

The family of

Tony Reynolds
