In mid-December, a number of the great people of Spencer County demonstrated their compassion for others when the middle school hosted a Benefit for an orphanage being constructed in Kenya. Over $2,000 was given to help Charles Juma complete an orphanage in Kenya that will initially serve over 300 children. The funds came from a talent show with outstanding performances appreciated by an enthusiastic audience.
This event could not have happened without the complete cooperation of the school board, superintendent, and staff and the leadership at the middle school.
