LETTER: Help needed with Sabbath question

-A A +A
By The Staff

I would like to ask your religious writers and all ministers of the church to explain where in the Bible Christ changed the Sabbath from the seventh day to the first day.

In Hebrews 4:8, Paul wrote to the church: “For if Jesus had given them rest then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.”

Now please read Hebrews 4:1-11.

John 18:31 says: “The Jews therefor because the preparation that the bodies should not remain up on the cross on the Sabbath day for that Sabbath day was an high day besought Pilot that their legs might be broke.

Luke 6:5: “and he said unto them that the son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.”

Now lets look at Genesis 2:3: “and God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”

Now go to Exodus 31:13: “Speak thou also unto the children of Israel saying my sabbath ye shall keep for it is a sign between me and you through your generation that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.”

I can write 20 pages on this subject. I will close for now.
