The purpose of the federal government is to provide for national infrastructure for states and common- wealth’s and the national defense as expressed and limited by the Constitution of the USA. At the end of the Civil War the states lost a lot of their right to control themselves and their citizens. The Federal government has become our benefactor that knows what is best for us as they see it. The intent of Federal government was not to control the people as they are doing now, before the Civil War that was the states and common wealth’s job.
