LETTER: Scott Williams for Salt River Electric Board of Directors

-A A +A
By The Staff

It’s the middle of the night and your power goes off. You find the phone book, call the toll free number and get the recording, saying there is a power outage. But you’d like to know why the power is out and get a better idea of when it will come back on.

Most of the county has been without power, and dealt with the frustration of recorded messages, during recent power outages. Crews did their best to get power to everyone, quickly. But the recorded messages only let us know our power was out. It’s comforting and helpful to talk to someone who can answer questions, or get the answers. What happened? How long will it be out? Is it a widespread outage?

I support Scott Williams for Salt River Electric Board of Directors. He’s a terrific neighbor and I know he will be a tireless advocate for Spencer County. He will help get our questions answered.

Scott is no stranger to hard work and has an incredible work ethic. Born and raised in Spencer County, with one of the last few, family-run dairy farms, he knows hard work and this county.

Community involvement is important to him. He’s currently on the Board of Directors - Suida Dairy Board; current Vice President - Spencer County Farm Bureau; Board Member – Spencer County Fair Board; Member – Taylorsville Masonic Lodge Local #210; and Member - First Baptist Church, Taylorsville.

I hope you get a chance to talk with Scott, soon, if you don’t already know him. Voting ballots will be mailed out from April 23 to May 3 and I’m sure he’ll try to visit as many residents as possible, before then.

Please vote for Scott Williams for Salt River Electric Board of Directors.
