If we are Christians, we should all walk the way Paul tells us to walk.
2 Corinthians 5:7-10 says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
I was preaching not long ago on sin and asked the question, “How many Christians do we have today that give it all to Jesus except one small sin?” One lady came up after the service and said, “You know my pet peeve is being in a parking lot and I cannot find a place to park and I see other people taking two parking spaces, that just irks me.” I know some people may call this a small thing, and even make the statement saying, “Well if this is the only thing she has against her on judgment day, she will be alright.”
I question how many reading this article have what they call small sins in their life and think it doesn’t matter, it will be alright.
I have read the Bible through more than once and I have never seen small sin in the Bible.
I believe if we have sinned against God and have not asked Jesus to forgive us for all sin and give it up, we will have a hard time getting into heaven. The reason I believe this is what the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:10. We will be judged on the things we have done whether good or bad.
