LETTER: Thank you for a successful festival

-A A +A
By The Staff

Osiyo (greetings) to all.     We, Ohio River Native American Intertribal Community (ORNAIC), would again like to say wado (thank you) to Spencer County and Taylorsville for the help and support of our Native American festival. This was our third year here in Spencer County and it was the best one ever. We enjoy very much in sharing our heritage and culture with you and are grateful that so many of you participated in the dances and fun times. Special thanks to Randy Wise, Eagles Motel, On the Way Café, and the Spencer Magnet for the kindness, respect, donations, and overall support that helped make our festival possible. We had many out of town guests and they were treated in a way that made us very proud to say we are from Taylorsville and Spencer County. We would like to apologize to all the veterans and those who came to see the 30’ X 50’ Vietnam era POW flag. The company we were hoping to get to raise it notified us 3 days before the festival that they would not be able to be there and there was not enough time to get someone else. Next year we plan on having the festival IN Taylorsville and will have the means to raise it ourselves, without any special equipment. On behalf of ORNAIC and the entire Native American community I would like to say may the Creator bless you one and all with peace and prosperity and we hope to see you next year. Donadagohvi (until we meet again).
