As a Taylorsville precinct resident, I am planning to vote for Richard Travelstead as this district’s magistrate.

I have known Richard for over four years beginning back in the days when Guard Duty was forming. Richard is an Army veteran and was very interested in helping get the organization going. Along with being on its executive board, he was instrumental in securing our non-profit status.

Additionally, I worked with Richard Travelstead in the Reformers Unanimous addictions recovery program for two years. Richard served as program director of this faith-based program showing great enthusiasm toward helping people with drug addictions.

Richard Travelstead is also serving as president of the Reaching Our Community organization which is focused on developing a much-needed community center in this county.

It just seems to me that Richard Travelstead has already shown heart and real initiative toward bettering our community. He is trustworthy and not self-serving. He will listen to our concerns and respond with our best interests in mind.

I’m voting for Richard Travelstead. I hope other 1st precinct residents do likewise.
