LETTER: Volunteers, givers made county Christmas food giveaway a success

Your front-page article last week does not even begin to cover the wonderful “giving” in this community. For two Christmases now, I have seen close up the county Christmas food giveaway. Last year they prepared over 200 baskets and this year it was 162 baskets.  They get donations of food, money, fruit, etc. Volunteers show up to help, never asking for recognition. They give food items and they give of themselves anonymously every year to help others. We have many anonymous “givers” who set us a wonderful example of what the Christmas spirit is all about.
