Members of First Baptist Church of Fisherville presented a living interpretation of Leonardo DaVinci’s painting “The Lord and His Twelve Disciples” Sunday night. As the men sat motionless, bathed in a warm yellow light, the choir sang hymns of praise. Before a packed sanctuary, each of the 12 disciples took turns exiting the “painting” to tell the audience about his personal relationship with Christ and their fears of being the one to betray God’s son. “Is it I?” each would ask.
“The Living Lord’s Supper” will be presented again Thursday night at 7 p.m. First Baptist Church of Fisherville is located at 14910 Taylorsville Road, 2 miles south of the Gene Snyder Freeway. The event is free and open to the public.
