Local man involved in Lexington train accident

Colby G. Loeser, 21, of Taylorsville was seriously injured after being struck by a train in Lexington Sept. 18.

He was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital where he was treated for head wounds. Loeser has since been released.

Reports are that Loeser fell asleep between a set of train tracks and awoke to the sound of screeching metal as a train moved above him.

Lexington Police responded to the call at Waller Ave. and the railroad tracks at 3:56 a.m.
