Morgan Mayer was recently named a member of the marketing and social media committee as part of the 2013 Kentucky State Fair Young Adult Project Advisory Council.
The Kentucky State Fair YAP Advisory Council meets as a group three times, including a weekend retreat in the spring. In between the meetings, advisors share ideas on social media discussion boards. The programs they help develop are featured on the YAP Facebook page: www.facebook.com/ksfyoungadultproject.
The Young Adult Project is an initiative of the Kentucky State Fair, to involve young adults, ages 14-20, in planning, promoting, and producing innovative new Kentucky State Fair programs for their peers. The YAP Advisory Council works with State Fair staff members to book youth bands and develop programming for the YAP Tent on the Thrillway. YAP programs include Ag Olympics, the Battle of the Bands, the youth Songwriter Contest, the ProAm Jam and the Discovery Farm Video and PowerPoint Contest.
