Local students participate in mock legislative program

Six students from Spencer County High School attended the YMCA’s Kentucky Youth Assembly Nov. 18-20.  After many months of preparation, students presented legislation through the process similar to the Kentucky General Assembly.  After presenting to committees, the highest ranked bills were argued at the capitol in Frankfort.  Day-Ballard took six students from Spencer County for the first time in many years and won the honor of Best New Delegation.
