Mary Lou Florence, program technician with the Bullitt/Spencer/Jefferson County Farm Service Agency, will retire with 27 years of service to the agency on Nov. 30.
The Mount Washington Farm Service Agency wishes to extend an invitation to the public for a retirement reception in the honor of her retirement. The reception will be Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Mount Washington FSA office.
Florence started her career with the agency in August 1984 at the Spencer County ASCS office. She worked there until Spencer County was combined with Bullitt County on June 23, 1996, and the office was then moved to Mount Washington where Jefferson County was also added to the combination in August 1996.
Florence has always been a dedicated employee and was a wealth of knowledge on people, places and things in all three counties, according to her coworkers. Her wit, humor and knowledge will be missed by not only the staff in the office, but by the many producers that she so proudly served, a news release said.
Community members are invited to extend to her “best wishes” on her retirement at the reception at the Mount Washington Service Center, 1200 N. Bardstown Road.
