MATTER OF OPINION: Bailouts for newspapers?

Okay. Congress isn’t seriously considering bailing out the newspaper industry, but a meeting of the Federal Trade Commission earlier this month has sparked the debate, so I’m running with it.

The FTC evidently gathered a group of experts June 15 to discuss a 47-page draft called “Potential Policy Recommendations  to Support the Reinvention of Journalism.”
