Jordan T. Waddell, of Louisville, was charged with criminal mischief for damaging a window at McDonald’s restaurant in Taylorsville recently.

Witnesses told police that Waddell, 18, was arguing with his girlfriend on the phone when he suddenly picked up a chair and threw it at one of the front windows.

Police apprehended the teenager a short time later driving out of the strip mall parking lot.

Estimated damages range from $1,500 to $2,000 to replace and install a new window, said Taylorsville Police Chief Toby Lewis.

A McDonald’s employee said that the force of Waddell’s throw lodged the chair into the tempered glass. No injuries were reported.
