Spencer County Clerk, Judy Puckett, announced that beginning today, her office will no longer be offering Saturday hours.
“This is being done in an effort to reduce costs and save the county money during these tough economic times. I realize this may cause some inconvenience to our customers, but I feel that we need to do our part in cutting expenses. Having said that, the office will be offering extended hours on Mondays and Thursdays, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. And, we will be open a half day the last Saturday of the month, unless that falls on a holiday,” Puckett said.
“The clerk’s office has always been customer oriented and we will continue to be. We ask for the public’s understanding and cooperation during this change,” the clerk concluded.
Hours for the office will be: Mondays and Thursdays, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.; the last Saturday of the month 8 a.m. until noon unless that day falls on a holiday.
