A Taylorsville woman damaged the hood of her car after leaving the roadway and striking a tree, but neither she nor her 23-month-old passenger were injured in the accident. Jannie M. Lewis, 33, of the 100 block of Tanglewood Court, was driving her 1999 Lincoln Continental west on Plum Ridge Road last Wednesday, when she veered off the right shoulder, hit a driveway culvert, hit an earth embankment and came to rest after striking a tree, according to a collision report filed by Spencer County Sheriff’s Deputy Tim Montgomery. The human factor cited in the crash was inattention.
