A Mt. Eden woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident late Friday night in eastern Spencer County. Kentucky State Police identified the victim as 56-year-old Robin Carney.

The accident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. when a Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by Jeremy Clark, 44, also of Mt. Eden, was traveling east in Mill Road, (KY 1795), crossed the road, left the pavement and struck a tree.

Carney was pronounced dead at the scene by the Spencer County Coroner while Clark was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital with what police were calling minor injuries.
