I grew up with mostly homemade food, instead of convenience foods from the store. As life has gotten busier over the years, I have resorted to using many packaged foods. In an effort to learn how to make staples, some of which my mama did not even make herself, I turned to the new book The Homemade Pantry by Alana Chernila.
