PHOTO: 4-H Livestock Club attends state meats contest

The Spencer County 4-H Livestock Club attended the State Meats Contest on May 1 which was held in Lexington at the Meats Lab on the University of Kentucky’s campus. Congratulations to all whom participated!  Brandon Cotton placed 5th in the Junior Division and Matthew Jeffiers placed 1st in the Senior Division.  The Senior Team consisting of Matthew Jeffiers, Emily Hume, Calvin Vannatta and Brian Hall placed 2nd and are eligible to compete in the National Contest held in Denver, Colorado in January 2010.  Thank you to Connie Jeffiers for coaching the Meats Team and being the Livestock Club Leader.
