Spencer County Habitat for Humanity hosted its second-annual spaghetti dinner and silent auction Feb. 14.
Despite dreary weather, the event attracted a full house, according to event coordinators. According to a news release provided by the organization, “It was heartwarming to see how many people came out to give their support to this worthy cause, raising over $2800.”
The event will help provide Habitat Partner families escape unsafe, unhealthy living conditions, break the cycle of poverty and build long-term financial security, according to the release. “Habitat would like to thank everyone who contributed to the financial success of this event. It not only helps our partner families, but it also shows the pride that you have in your community,” coordinators wrote.
