PHOTO: Snider recognized as historical society’s 2011 scholarship essay winner

Spencer County High School student Joseph Snider, pictured at left, receives recognition from the Spencer County Historical and Genealogical Society’s President Betty Darnell at Monday night’s meeting. Snider was the 2011 winner of the society’s annual scholarship essay contest. The contest is open to juniors. Snider is a senior this year and will receive $500 from the society to go toward his college education.
