Deborah Anderson, the commissioner for the Department of Aging and Independent Living, was the featured speaker at this month’s Spencer County Chamber of Commerce luncheon. Anderson addressed the signs that might indicate elderly family members need help. Those signs include, but are not limited to, weight loss, disregard for personal appearance, disregard for their home’s appearance, their mood and changes in the way they are walking. Anderson also shared some personal experiences she has come across with an elderly parent. For more information, visit http://chfs.ky.gov/dail/.
