PHOTOS: Local team a strong supporter of Special Olympics

Russell Miller’s ‘Ice Socks’ team, which participates in the Polar Bear Plunge for the Special Olympics of Kentucky each year, attended a fall festival at the Millers’ home to rally for next year’s plunge. The team has raised over $200,000 for the Special Olympics since it started participating in the plunge in 2006. The team has grown from nine to 81 members and raised $66,030 in 2011.
