It’s official. Prohibition has been repealed and Spencer County will no longer be considered dry.
November’s election in favor of permitting alcohol sales was the first – and obviously highest – hurdle to jump. But Monday’s unanimous passage of county ordinance No. 10 (2010 series) was the last.
The 18-page document covers every aspect from the types of licenses to the hours of business and even the cost for violating parts of the ordinance.
