The following indictments were handed down by a Spencer County Grand Jury in Circuit Court Aug. 9, 2012:
On or about May 11, 2012, in Spencer County, Ronnie C. Hardin, 57, of the 100 block of Hardin Street, committed the offense of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, greater or equal to 20 units, by knowingly and unlawfully manufacturing, distributing, dispensing, selling, transferring or possessing with intent to manufacture, distribute, dispense or sell a controlled substance classified as a schedule III controlled substance known as Hydrocodone.

On or about July 5, 2012, in Spencer County, Ronnie C. Hardin, 57, of the 100 block of Hardin Street, committed the offense of obtaining or attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud or deceit when he obtained or attempted to obtain a prescription for a controlled substance by knowingly misrepresenting to, or knowingly withholding information from a practitioner; or procured or attempted to procure the administration of a controlled substance by knowingly misrepresenting to or withholding information from a practitioner; or obtained or attempted to obtain a controlled substance or procured or attempted to procure the administration of a controlled substance by the use of a false name or the giving of a false address; or knowingly made a false statement regarding any prescription, order, report, or record required by chapter 218A of the Kentucky Revised Statutes; or falsely assumed the title of or represented himself to be a manufacturer, wholesaler, distributor, repacker, pharmacist, practitioner or other authorized person; or represented a prescription for a controlled substance that was obtained in violation of chapter 218A of the Kentucky Revised Statutes; or affixed any false or forged label to a package or receptacle containing any controlled substance.

On or about May 27, 2012, Nicholas J. Price, 27, of the 100 block of Windsong Court, committed the following offenses in Spencer County and was indicted for them:
Count 1: First-degree illegal possession of a controlled substance by knowingly and unlawfully having in his possession an amount of a controlled substance classified as a schedule I controlled substance known as Heroin.
Count 2: First-degree illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia when he knowingly and unlawfully used or had in his possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia to include needles, tin foil, spoons, a bottle with half cut qtips, a belt and a straw.
Count 3: Public intoxication by being under the influence of a controlled substance or other intoxicating substance not therapeutically administered, excluding alcohol, to the degree that he may endanger himself, other persons or property or unreasonably annoy any person in his vicinity.

On or about May 6, 2012, Eric D. Adams, 37, of the 1600 block of Bonnie Brae Drive in Shelbyville, committed the following offenses in Spencer County and was indicted for them:
Count 1: Manufacturing methamphetamine when he knowingly and unlawfully manufactured methamphetamine or with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine he possessed two or more chemicals or two or more items of equipment for the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Count 2: First-degree illegal possession of a controlled substance by knowingly and unlawfully having in his possession an amount of a controlled substance classified as a schedule II controlled substance known as methamphetamine.
Count 3: Illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia when he knowingly and unlawfully used or had in his possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia to include a smoke bottle.

On or about Feb. 21, 2012, Joseph T. Anderson, of the 8700 block of Bluebell Drive in Louisville, committed the following offenses in Spencer County and was indicted for them:
Counts 1-3: First-degree sexual abuse by subjecting a 45-year-old victim to sexual contact through the use of forcible compulsion.

On or about April 24, 2012, Stanley D. Carney Jr., 31, of the 4700 block of Little Union Road, and April N. Netherton, 28, of the 100 block of Cambridge Drive in Louisville, alone or in complicity with one another, committed the offense of manufacturing methamphetamine when they knowingly and unlawfully manufactured methamphetamine or with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine they possessed two or more chemicals or two or more items of equipment for the manufacture of methamphetamine.
The following indictments were handed down by a Spencer County Grand Jury in Circuit Court Aug. 23, 2012:
On or about Dec. 16, 2011, Whitney J. Chrappa, 22, who is currently housed at the Bullitt County Detention Center, committed the following offenses in Spencer County and was indicted for them:
Count 1: Second-degree burglary by knowingly and unlawfully entering or remaining in a dwelling located in the 100 block of Day Road, with the intent to commit a crime.
Count 2: Theft by unlawful taking by taking or exercising control of property of a value of more than $500 but less than $1,000 belonging to J. Carden with intent to deprive the owner thereof.
Count 3: Third-degree criminal mischief when having no right to do so, or any reasonable ground to believe that she had such right, intentionally or wantonly deface, destroyed or damaged property which belonged to J. Carden.

Between Jan. 1, 2012, and July 2012, Robert A. Divine, 33, designated by the court as being at large, committed the following offenses in Spencer County and was indicted for them:
Count 1: First-degree sodomy by engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 12 years of age.
Count 2: Incest when he had sexual intercourse or deviate sexual intercourse with a person whom he knew to be a descendent, and the victim was less than 12 years of age.
Count 3: First-degree sexual abuse by subjecting a person less than 12 years of age to sexual contact.
