The following cases were heard by Judge Michael Eckert in Spencer District Court on Dec. 16, 2011:

Traffic:  
Richard C. Delepierre (1964), speeding 21 miles over the legal limit, guilty, $143 court costs and state traffic school.

Dennis K. Waldridge (1960), speeding 17 miles over the legal limit, guilty, state traffic school and court costs.

Katherine J. Demar (1974), failure to wear seat belts, guilty, $25 fine.  

Shanda R. Fogle (1981), instructional permit violations, amended to no license in possession, guilty, $20 fine and court costs.  

Garcia Raimundo (1987), no operators/moped license, guilty, $50 fee and court costs; failure to wear seat belt, guilty, $25 fine.  

George M. Lawson (1970), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense, guilty, alcohol and drug education program, operators license suspended for 30 days, $728 fines and court costs.  

Robin L. Walls (1961), speeding 16 miles over the legal limit, guilty, state traffic school; failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security first, guilty, Kentucky alternative program, $500 fine, $400 conditionally discharged for 2 years, court costs.  

James A. Bogard Jr. (1980), reckless driving, guilty, $50 fine, state traffic school and court costs.  

Misdemeanor:
Jon D. Branham (1979), careless driving, guilty, $20 fine; possession of marijuana, guilty, $250 fine and court costs.  

Matthew S. Deem (1970), failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security first, guilty, Kentucky Alternative Program, court costs, $500 fine, $400 conditionally discharged for one year.

George Showalter (1967), fourth-degree assault with minor injury, guilty, sentenced to 180 days conditionally discharged for two years, instructed to seek anger management and counseling sessions, court costs.

Vanessa Berry (1976), flagrant non-support, amended to misdemeanor non support, guilty, sentenced to 365 days conditionally discharged for 2 years with the stipulation of timely child support payments, court costs waived.  

Felony:
William L. Foster (1986), second-degree burglary, amended to theft by unlawful taking under $500, guilty, sentenced to 180 days conditionally discharged for 2 years, to pay $270 in restitution plus 5 percent, court costs.

Jeffrey B. Loyless (1964), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense, guilty, 30 days suspended operators license, alcohol and drug education program, $728 fines and court costs.  

Jeremy W. Lyons (1986), failure to produce insurance card, amended to failure to maintain proper insurance, guilty, $500 fine, $400 conditionally discharged, court costs.  

James D. Tackett (1959), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense, guilty, $728 fines and court costs, 30 days suspended operators license, alcohol and drug education program.  

Stephen J. Smith (1958), speeding 15 miles over the legal limit, amended to speeding 10 miles over the legal limit, guilty, $163 court costs and fines.  

Misdemeanor:
Paula Abrams (no birth year provided), theft by deception to include cold checks under $300, guilty, $70.13 to be paid in restitution, $183 in fines and court costs.

Gerald L. Childers (1942), fourt-degree assault with no visible injury, guilty, sentenced to 180 days conditionally discharged for 2 years, $144 in court costs and fines.  

Shawn L. Furman (1987), illegal take/pursue deer/wild turkey, guilty, $100 fine; resident hunting/trapping without license/permit, guilty, $50 fine and $753 in restitution to be paid to the department of fish and wildlife, one year no hunting probated for 2 years, defendant may purchase a gun for $400.  

Jacob B. Grimm (1990), resisting arrest, guilty, Kentucky alternative program, sentenced to 180 days conditionally discharged for 2 years, $153 in fines and court costs.

Deloris J. Hartman (1955), resisting arrest, guilty, sentenced to 60 days conditionally discharged for 2 years, Kentucky alternative program, $153 in court cost and fines.  

Scott S. Leslie (1972), resisting arrest, guilty, sentenced to 30 days conditionally discharged for 2 years, Kentucky alternative program.  

Gary Martin (1948), second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, guilty, sentenced to 30 days conditionally discharged for 2 years, $153 court costs and fines.  

Phillip T. Miller (1976), menacing, guilty, sentenced to 15 days conditionally discharged for 2 years, $153 court costs and fines.  

Michael G. Walker (1970), fourth-degree assault domestic violence with minor injury, guilty, sentenced to 180 days conditionally discharged for 2 years, no contact with victim, $153 court costs and fines.  

Justin G. Whiteside (1987), cultivating marijuana less than five plants first offense, amended to possession of marijuana, guilty, $253 fines and court costs.  

Felony:  
Scott S. Leslie (1972), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs third offense, guilty, sentenced to 60 days incarceration with a work release, 10 days credit for time served, $1,028 fines and court costs, operators license revoked for 24 months; second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, guilty, sentenced to 365 days conditionally discharged for 2 years, Kentucky alternative program.
