The following cases were heard by judge Donna Dutton in Spencer District Court on March 1, 2013:

Misdemeanor:
Timonthy N. Schell (1957), resident fishing without a license/permit, guilty, $203 in court costs and fines to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Candace Nicole Rogers (1991), resisting arrest, guilty, sentenced to 90 days conditionally discharged for two years, Kentucky Alternative Program, $153 in court costs to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Jody Jewell (1985), traffic in marijuana less than 8 ounces first offense, guilty, sentenced to 180 days conditionally discharged for two years, Kentucky Alternative Program to pay $153 court costs and $80 restitution. All fines/fees to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Michael A. Mitchell. (1993), possession of marijuana, guilty, $250 fine, $143 court costs, all fines/fees to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Traffic:
Steven W. Miles (1993), speeding 16 miles over the legal limit, amended to speeding 15 over, guilty, $173 in court costs and fines paid.

Devin C. Thompson (1987), disregarding stop sign, $163 in court costs and fines to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Stephen A. Bockting (1990), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs aggravator, first offense, amended to DUI first, guilty, $728 fine to be paid in installments/deferred payment, 30 days suspended operator’s license, alcohol and drug education program.

Tyler L. Brothers (1994), speeding 26 miles over the legal limit, guilty, $203 in court costs/fines paid.

Robert E. Chesher (1979), failure to wear seat belts, guilty, $25 fine; disregarding traffic control devices, traffic light, guilty, $20 fine; driving on a DUI suspended license second offense, amended to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, guilty, sentenced to 180 days conditionally discharged for two years, Kentucky Alternative Program.

Michael W. Hardin (1970), speeding 24 miles over the legal limit, guilty, state traffic school, $143 in court costs/fines to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Matthew C. Hawkins (1977), no operator’s/moped license, guilty, $163 in court costs/fines to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Richard W. Hendren (1968), operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, amended to no license in possession, guilty, $20 fine and court costs to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Robert W. Largen (1970), operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, amended to no license in possession, guilty, $20 fine; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense, guilty, sentenced to seven days conditionally discharged for two years, $728 fine, 30 days suspended operator’s license, alcohol and drug education program. All fines/fees paid.

James S. Owens IV (1989), failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security first, guilty, $500 fine, $400 conditionally discharged, all fines/court costs to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Nicholas A. Payton (1990), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense, guilty, $728 fine to be paid in installments/deferred payment, 30 days suspended operator’s license, alcohol and drug education program.

Flor Rosales-Miguel (1992), no operator’s/moped license, amended to no license in possession, guilty, $20 fine and $143 court costs to be paid in installments/deferred payment. 

Leo Marion (1980), failure to wear seat belts, guilty, $25 fine; operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, amended to no license in possession, guilty, $25 fine, sentenced to 30 days conditionally discharged for two years, two days jail time, Kentucky Alternative Program. All fines/court fees to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Leo Marion (1980), reckless driving, guilty, $20 fine; operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, amended to no license in possession, guilty, $20 fine, sentenced to 30 days conditionally discharged for two years, to be served concurrently, two days jail time, Kentucky Alternative Program.

Leo Marion (1980), speeding 19 miles over the legal limit, guilty, $38 fine; operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, amended to no license in possession, guilty, $20 fine, sentenced to 30 days cnoditionall discharged for two years, Kentucky Alternative Program, two days jail time. All fines/fees to be paid in installments/deferred payment.
