The Spencer County Grand Jury handed down the following indictments in Spencer Circuit Court Nov. 7, 2013:
Editor's note: The Michelle Housley noted in the indictment below is not the same Michelle Housley seeking the office of Spencer County Clerk.
Michelle Housley, 51, of the 300 block of Sycamore Drive, Taylorsville, was indicted on one count of forgery of a prescription I. According to the indictment, on or about Sept. 12, 2013, in Spencer County, Housley committed the offense of forgery of a prescription for a controlled substance when, with the intent to defraud, deceive, or injure another, she falsely made, completed, or altered a written instrument which is or purports to be or which is calculated to become or to represent a prescription for a controlled substance when completed.

Eric T. Aubrey, 35, of the 200 block of Elk Creek Road, Taylorsville, was indicted on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine. According to the indictment, on or about June 28, 2013, in Spencer County, Aubrey committed the offense of first-degree illegal possession of a controlled substance second offense, by knowingly and unlawfully having in his possession an amount of a controlled substance classified as a Schedule II Controlled substance known as methamphetamine, having previously been convicted of first-degree illegal possession of a controlled substance by a final judgement of the Spencer Circuit Court of Kentucky, indictment number 09-CR-00004-001 on or about April 27, 2009.
