For most, the luxury of running water has become common place. Turn the handle and water flows for as long as needed. Yet, a small percentage of Spencer County residents still rely on well water or cisterns that need to be filled periodically. Then there are others – such as homeowners in Ashes Creek – who are supplied by city water, but lack the consistent flow the rest of the county takes for granted.
