Pumpkin whoopie pies an easy alternative to pumpkin pie

I do not like pumpkin pie. I love the flavor of pumpkin. I am a fan of pumpkin bread and pumpkin ice cream. There is just something about the texture of the pie that turns me off. So I look for desserts that feature pumpkin in other ways.
