Spencer County Schools is continuing its talks and could be entering into a partnership with the city of Taylorsville to fund a school resource officer that would serve the district, if the city and school board can reach a joint funding agreement.
Like many others across the nation, the Spencer County Board of Education began discussing ways to beef up school security following the December shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
