School board selects architect for new elementary project, moves one step closer to beginning construction

Although there has been no decision on land, the Spencer County Board of Education moved one step closer Monday night to constructing a new elementary school by selecting an architectural firm.
Board members Jeanie Stevens, Shannon Medley, Scott Travis and Sandy Clevenger voted unanimously at the June 25 board meeting to continue the district’s relationship with the Sherman Carter Barnhart firm, which has previously handled district projects. Board member Mary Ann Carden was absent.
