School district considers summer enrichment program

A summer enrichment program could be the Spencer County school district’s next big step in addressing information retention and achievement gaps in local public school students.
Since November, the Board of Education has been discussing the possibility of implementing a summer program that would initially target at-risk students. Although the particulars of exactly what the program might look like have yet to be approved by the board of education, discussions among administrators and principals are actively underway.
