Middle school collecting register tapes

Spencer County Middle School is proud to announce they are saving register tapes for educational equipment.  Register tapes can be collected from Country Mart and redeemed for valuable educational equipment such as computers, science, band or sports equipment and more.  The program kicked off on September 1, 2008 and register tapes can be collected until March 31, 2009.  The students and faculty of Spencer County Middle School would appreciate your support by saving your register tapes from Country Mart in order to help them receive their needed equipment.

SCHS dinner concert

The Spencer County High School Chorus will present a dinner concert at Spencer Christian Church Saturday.  The chorus is raising money to travel to Myrtle Beach in March for a nationwide competition.  Tickets for the show are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for students and $3 for children under 8 (children 3 and under are free).  A full Italian meal will be served including desserts provided by the Homemade Pie and Ice Cream Kitchen.  The chorus will perform selections from “Hairspray,” and “Sister Act,” in addition to various pop and classical pieces as well.
