A second Republican filed to run for Spencer County judge-executive last week.
John Riley, a former magistrate, will face Lawrence Trageser in the primary election in May.
The winner of the Republican primary will face the winner — out of candidates Jerry Davis, Debbie Herndon, Jan Kehne and David Jewell — of the Democrat primary in the general election in November.
Several others have also filed for office over the last week:
•Larry Bentley, a Democrat, filed for constable in the Mount Eden district.
