National Honor Society sponsored a food drive November 9-13, lead by project manager Casey Kerns.
The competition was to see which grade level could donate the most canned goods. The juniors lead all week, but the seniors made a strong showing on the last day of collections and took the lead by donating 494 cans of food.
In all the school collected 621 cans of food that were given to the SCHS Youth Service Center for distribution here in the county.
National Honor Society would like to thank all the English teachers at the high school for helping collect the donated items. They would also like to thank senior English teacher Mrs. Cook and junior English teacher Mr. Selby for all their efforts to motivate students.
