Sheriff’s department, EMS move forward with radio plans

The Spencer County Sheriff’s Department and Spencer County EMS are moving forward with their switch to ICOM digital radios, and the county expects work to begin soon on its own radio tower, Judge-Executive Bill Karrer said last week.
Karrer also said that it has already been determined who owns the existing radio equipment, which can be sold to recoup costs of the new equipment.
