Teree Nethery was showering when she found a lump on her breast more than 10 years ago.
“By the time you can feel a lump it’s probably been there awhile,” the Taylorsville woman said.
Even though it didn’t run in her family, Nethery, now 53, became worried the lump could be cancerous.
But after doctors dismissed her lump – and an initial mammogram overlooked it – Nethery felt somewhat relieved.
