Shouse joins Spencer Christian staff

Kenneth Shouse recently accepted a call from Spencer Christian Church to be its Pastoral Care Minister. Shouse was born in Anderson County and is married to Verlie Maddox Shouse and has two sons.

He attended Spencerian Business College in 1953 and entered Kentucky Christian University in 1954, graduating with a degree in Christian education in 1958. He has served as minister at Ninevah Christian Church from 1955-1960; Antioch Christian in Mount Sterling from 1960-1968; founder and minister of Shelby Christian Church, 1968-1996; and recently ministered at New Liberty Christian Church in Anderson County from 1996-2013. Shouse has held many seminars on church growth, revivals and speaking engagements.
According to a news release from Spencer Christian, Shouse is looking forward to his new position. He was the chairman of the Salt River Christian Men Fellowship’s New Location Committee when land was purchased for Spencer Christian’s first building.
