Spencer County High participating in college application week

-A A +A

This week, Spencer County High School will participate in College Application Week, which is a national initiative to encourage and give every high school senior the opportunity to apply to college and make realistic plans for their future.
The week will culminate with the annual “I Got In” celebration on Friday in which the students of the senior class will be recognized and awarded for being accepted to college. Several events will take place throughout that day including a motivational speech by keynote speaker, Robyn Hampton-Peers, and a panel discussion made up of current college students, who will be able to provide seniors first-hand knowledge about what to expect in college and how to best prepare for it.
Seniors will also be served a special lunch and be treated to an ice cream party, and door prizes donated by colleges will be given out throughout the day.
