The Spencer County High School blue-white football game will be Friday at 7 p.m.

Admission is $3 for adults, and children ages 5 and under will be admitted free.

SCHS football team
to host camp for youth

The Spencer County High School football team is hosting a camp for youth in first through sixth grades Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with registration at 8:30 a.m.

The camp cost is $25 per participant, which includes a camp T-shirt and lunch.

Youth basketball camp

First Baptist Church in Shelbyville will host a basketball instructional camp beginning Tuesday, June 5 and ending Friday, June 8.

The camp will be split into two sessions. The morning session is for boys and girls entering first through fifth grades and runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The afternoon session is for boys and girls entering sixth through 10th grades and runs from 1 to 4 p.m. each day.

The camp will be led by former and current college and high school coaches. This year’s special guest speaker is former UK Wildcat and NBA player Jeff Sheppard. The camp will focus on individual instruction, offensive moves, ball handling and ball control, shooting, passing, defensive techniques and agility. The cost is $55 if registered and paid by May 18.

The cost after May 18 is $65.
