Brian Larsh, 44, of Springfiled, was struck by lightning last Wednesday while waiting for a ride home from his job at Shelby Industries on McDaniels Drive.
He died Friday at Jewish Hospital in Louisville after his family made the difficult decision to have him removed from life support, said Wayne Allen, vice president of Shelby Industries.
“He had too much internal damage from the lightning and his organs hadstarted to fail,” Allen said.
Larsh was initially taken to Jewish Hospital Shelbyville, but was moved to Louisville later that day.
