Editor’s note: This is the second article in a two-part series about how Spencer County Public Schools faired in the first-round of the new Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress — known as K-PREP — assessment. The K-PREP assessment replaces the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System, and, according to state and local educators, has raised academic expectations for public school students across Kentucky.
