Sunday, the Stallions took the field against Valley. The Mighty Mites would take the field first and they came out strong. The game started fast with a Braydon Duke touchdown in the first quarter. The young Stallions defense would keep Valley at bay during the first half making it 6-0 going into the third quarter. But, a Valley running back found his way into the end zone two times in the second half giving valley the win 15-6.
The Juniors came out next. This game would be a preview of the playoffs, as these two teams will meet in the first round a few weeks from now. The Stallions had an unusual poor start with two turnovers by the kick return team that Valley would take advantage of, ending the first half 20-0. In the second half, coach Stan Shivers put in the second string offense in to change things up. They opened up their series with a 60-yard run by Zack Lewis taking the Stallions to the 2-yard-line. Then Colton Price would call an audible for a quarterback sneak as he and his offensive line pushed through for a touchdown. But, on this day, Valley would come out on top 34-6.
The last game of the day was the young ,scrappy Senior team. With hard running and a determined defense the Stallions kept it close in the first half 6-0. But the second half slipped away form them as Valley would win the game 28-0.
The last regular season home game will be Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
