A trial is set to begin today in the case involving a Taylorsville man indicted on second-degree manslaughter charges for striking and killing an off-duty Louisville Metro Police officer.
Taylorsville resident Daryl Fogle struck Paul M. Pegram, 40, of Spencer County on Sept. 30, 2010. According to Kentucky State Police, Pegram was riding his bicycle on Ky. 248, east of Taylorsville when Fogle struck Pegram with his vehicle. State police reported that Pegram died as a result of injuries sustained from the collision.
