Robert Anthony Divine, 33, of Taylorsville, was apprehended by the Nicholasville Police Department. He was arrested at 7 p.m. Sunday at a residence on Cypress Street in Nicholasville and lodged in the Jessamine County Detention Center.
On Aug. 23, a joint investigation by KSP and the Cabinet of Families and Children led to Divine’s indictment. He was wanted on Spencer County indictment warrants for first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy and incest.
Nicholasville Police had responded to a separate complaint in the area and ended up arresting Divine on the Spencer County warrant, said KSP Trooper Ron Turley. Other specifics in the arrest, such as who Divine was staying with or how he came in touch with Nicholasville Police, are unknown at this time, Turley said Monday afternoon.
The Kentucky State Police Post 12 issued a news release Thursday that included descriptive information about Divine and information regarding how to contact the post with information on his whereabouts.
According to the Jessamine County Detention Center’s website, Divine is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
According to Kentucky Court Record Online, Divine’s case is scheduled for review in Spencer County Circuit Court on Oct. 29 at 4 p.m.
