Country ham breakfast
Taylorsville Masonic Lodge #210 will have an all-you-can-eat country ham breakfast from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday. The breakfast is $7 per person. Carry-out is available. Everyone is welcome.

Ducks Unlimited banquet
The Shelby County Ducks Unlimited Chapter will host a dinner with a silent and live auction at Shelbyville’s Claudia Sanders Dinner House on Jan. 31. Happy hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner following at 7. Prize items include guided hunts, up to 30 different guns available, gear and much more. Admission is $50 for singles or $60 per couple. MPCAA to offer arthritis exercise program
MPCAA is offering an arthritis foundation exercise program at its senior center, 44 Creekside Drive in Taylorsville. This is a low-impact physical activity program to reduce pain and decrease stiffness.
The program will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. from Jan. 7 to Feb. 27, 2014.
Call 502-477-8296 to reserve a spot. The program is free to those 60 years of age or older. For those under 60, the class is $2 per one-hour class.

Donations needed for Habitat silent auction
Spencer County Habitat for Humanity is soliciting donations for a silent auction to be held during the Valentine’s Spaghetti Dinner at the chamber building on Feb. 14, 2014. Higdon to host prayer breakfast
Sen. Jimmy Higdon invites the community to his 12th annual prayerbreakfast on Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Lebanon United Methodist Church located at 236 North Spalding Avenue.

Senior Center open Tuesdays, Thursdays
The Spencer County Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency Senior Life Enrichment Center, located at 44 Creekside Drive, is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for community members ages 60 and older. Lunch is served at 11:30. Reservations must be made by noon Tuesday for the following week. Call 477-8296 and ask for Jill or Connie for more information.
