Calling all crafty folks

The Taylorsville Farmers Market is opening its sales venue one week every month for crafters to sell their wares.  Crafts  would set up in front of the Sanctuary on the third Saturday of each month throughout the market season.  The cost is $10 per table per Saturday and payable to the Taylorsville Farmers Market Inc.  Contact Linda Street 477-2206 if you need more information.

Candidate forum

The Spencer Magnet and the Spencer County-Taylorsville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a candidate forum Friday, May 7 at the high school beginning at 6 p.m. This event will be an excellent opportunity for voters to hear about  where Democrat and Republican candidates stand on issues before heading to the polls for the primary election.

Voters are asked to submit questions for the candidates by emailing editor@spencermagnet.com.

Candidates in local elections will be contacted by the Spencer Magnet at a later date with more details. Candidates are asked to R.S.V.P. by calling  477-2239.

Knights’ fish fry

The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a seafood dinner Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at All Saints Catholic church. All proceeds go to charitable works in our community.

Friends of Scouting

Miss America 2000 Heather French Henry will be the guest speaker at the annual Spencer County Friends of Scouting luncheon.  This event has been organized to raise funds for local Boy Scout programs.
